This podcast is a conversation between 2 long-time friends, both at different stages of deconstructed faith, one a Gen X and one a Millienial, about their Perspectives - which are constantly evolving - about any topic under the sun!

Meet Laura & Jessi
Laura (on the left here...no pun intended!) and Jessi (on the right, but only in terms of this picture!) are two very long-time friends who have spent countless hours over the years having deep conversations, about every topic imaginable, almost always over cups of coffee. (Since we've broaden our horizons, our drinks of choice have expanded as well.)
For years, while having these conversations, we would joke and say, "We should have our own podcast!", so we finally decided to just do it.
Our discussion topics have always been varied, and we each have our own Perspective - which is what we hope to bring to this show.
While our backgrounds and experiences are very similar, our personalities are fundamentally opposite, and we are in different life seasons in terms of marriage, family, and career. Each of these factors also plays a big role in the perspectives we hold, and how those perspective have, and continue to, evolve.

The ladies are STILL processing through - mentally, emotionally, and now here, verbally - all the thoughts and feelings they are having after the election a few weeks ago. If you are still having big feelings yourself, or maybe you're not but trying to understand others who are, our hope is that listening in might help give you some language to put to whatever situations you find yourself in during this season.

This episode was meant to be much more "real time" than it turned out to be. The ladies spent the day after the election in NYC. They did lots of processing together throughout the day, and then on the ride home, they decided to try to narrow down some some of their raw, post-election feelings. They hoped to get the episode up sooner - but some mental space in these past few days became more of a priority - but their thoughts are still timely, and it's certain they will continue processing more in episodes to come.
Also, this is the first time there are guests chiming in on Perspectives! You'll get to hear from Kate, Jess's daughter, and Anna, Jess's niece - who are also good friends of Laura as well!! It's a multi-generational glimpse into how we are all processing what the world of politics feels like for each of them.

While both Laura and Jessi have moved away from this space personally, they still feel it represents a significant sub cultural that is influential in many ways, and worth a conversation.
